A report

A report…

Jarbas and I have moved the Zodiac boat across to the Club. Jarbas had to take out the carburetor, take it to pieces, clean out lots of gunge in it, before it worked properly. He clearly knew exactly what he was doing, and the boat and engine are now working well. Along with the boat at the club are
(a) the cloth to cover it
(b) the foot-pumping device
(c) the petrol tank, which is actually fitted into the engine while it goes.
(d) The stand for the motor

The boat is tied up inside the marina ready to be viewed and driven. The separate items are in the J. box.

A few points:
(a) The engine needed a key. Jarbas wired it to circumvent the key. Do we have a key for the engine?
(b) There are places to put two paddles, but no paddles. (I borrowed 2 from the canoe set of 4 so we had them when we crossed, but brought them back)
c) There is no rubber repair kit anywhere in the storage shed. This is an important component of the boat kit. Do we have one stored somewhere else, or is it gone?

Jarbas did a great job, and worked from 10.00 until 2.30…

It was a great ride across …
